Our Philosophy
Here at Sesa Nkwa, we believe that everyone has the power to transform their lives and to make positive changes.
Transformation isn’t a single, dramatic event; it’s turning the wheel a little every day. With every positive choice, you turn the wheel and transform your life. If you add more vegetables and do more things that bring you joy, you are creating the life you want.
One drop in the bucket creates the ripples that extend beyond that one change.
There is no expectation of being perfect around here. If we could strike the word from the dictionary, we would. The pursuit of “perfection” does more harm than good. Perfection does not exist.
There is no singular protocol, routine, or diet that will work for every single body. We are all different and need different things for our individual bodies. We will meet you where you are without judgment, shame, or superiority, but as equals.
What does this all mean for you?
It means that we celebrate all positive changes, and we honor harm reduction and autonomy; we are not handing down herbs from a pedestal; we are working in collaboration with you; we cannot tell you what is best for your body. We can, however, guide you, teach you, be a sounding board for your ideas, and walk alongside you on your journey to wellness.
We hold dear the principles of Nkwa: life should be enjoyable. If you love burgers and fries, we’re not going to tell you to stop, but we may encourage you to add some more nutrients to your diet.
You don’t have to do yoga or give up gluten and dairy if you don’t want to; you don’t have to be “woo-woo”; you don’t even have to be a little “woo” to benefit from our services. You just have to be open to Sesa wo Suban — transforming your life.
